Research Assistant, AI & Future of Work

AEI's Center on Opportunity and Social Mobility (COSM) seeks a full-time Research Assistant to support scholars working on AI's impact on the labor market, flexible education pathways, and workforce development.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct literature reviews and data analysis on AI, automation, and workforce trends

- Assist in drafting research papers, policy memos, and public commentary

- Track legislation and policy developments related to workforce and technology

- Support scholar communications and event preparation

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in economics, public policy, data science, or related field

- Strong quantitative and writing skills

- Genuine interest in how technology is reshaping the workforce

- Start date: no later than summer 2026 (earlier preferred)
