Research Assistant, Energy & Climate Policy

AEI is seeking a full-time, in-person Research Assistant to support its energy and climate policy team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in public policy research.

Responsibilities:

- Assist scholars with research on energy policy, climate regulation, and the government's role in science and innovation

- Review academic literature, government data, and news sources

- Help draft policy briefs, op-eds, and working papers

- Manage citation databases and conduct fact-checking

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in economics, public policy, environmental science, or related field (recent graduates welcome)

- Strong research and writing skills

- Interest in free-market approaches to energy and environmental policy

- Ability to start as soon as possible
