Press Officer

The Manhattan Institute is seeking a Press Officer to shape how our research and ideas are covered in national and local media, advancing our mission to develop and disseminate ideas that foster economic choice and individual responsibility.

Responsibilities:

- Pitch Manhattan Institute scholars and research to journalists, editors, and producers

- Respond to media inquiries and coordinate interview requests

- Monitor news cycles and identify opportunities for rapid commentary

- Draft press releases, media advisories, and talking points

- Build and maintain relationships with reporters across policy, politics, and business beats

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree required

- 3+ years of media relations or journalism experience

- Existing relationships with national policy and political reporters strongly preferred

- Strong news sense and ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment
